By constructing an iron fence, right through the beautiful KUPA-region, Slovenia has made Croatia an unwilling buffer for the influx of refugees coming from Bosnia, trying to reach Europe. Because of the fence, relationships between communities straddling the border have changed, with many showing their true face in this time of crisis, as all try to find a way forward.
