"I recorded oral history from about fifteen people, recalling the German and French colonisation and talking about sorcery, evangelisation, and the UPC independence movement. I also met Noël, Ajavon, and Aline, people working for logging companies, cultivating cocoa, prospecting for gold, or prospecting for something to do... We made a film, Tinselwood, documenting the land in the present time. The colonial legacy protrudes from the scenery everywhere." Marie Voignier
